I have a 55 gal fwt with 2 zebra danios, 6 glofish, (danios, I know), 2 eartheaters, 1 small striped Rafael Catfish and some live plants. (included a picture of my tank). My friends are having to rehome a small (2") pleco and a Frontosa cichlid. Would the Frontoa be OK to have with the danios? As you can see, hopefully, from the picture, there are several hiding places and plants to hide my danios if they need to get away.

You could keep the pleco in your tank for a while until it starts to grow but I'd be very dubious adding a Frontosa to that stock. Everything other than your Raphael would be potential food...

Thanks. I was worried about adding the Frontosa because of danios. I thought the eartheaters might could hold their own against him. I think I'll let them rehome their Frontosa somewhere else. I'll just stick with "Carl", the pleco! On the same line of thought, I would like to add someting with some color to my tank. What about some rainbowfish or American Flagfish? I'd just like something "pretty".

IMO pleco is fine while its small, Frontosa of stay away from. Just be aware plecos are poop machines.

I hope it's small poop since the pleco is small!!
He only has one eye also because he used to live with a bunch of cichlids and a Jack Dempsey ate his eye out! :ermm:

My friends has theirs in a 95 gal with cichlids. Carl (the pleco) was just too small to handle "Jack". They put Carl in a 40 gal and bought a 6" long pleco for their cichlid tank. Carl will be happy in my 55 gal I bet. It's a friendly tank.
I like your pleco. He's nice looking!!
