advice on german blue rams

Hello.
The other day i bought 1male and 2female german blue rams.but the male kept chasing the females away and the females wouldnt come out from around the back of the filter.i took 1female back to the fish shop but the other ram never comes out now.if it does it gets chased away.how many is best in a community tank.thinking of getting another male and maybe to females to balance things

How big is your tank? Other tank mates? How long has it been cycled? Any live plants?

Its been cycled about 6months.took water to pet shop for a test and its spot on.no worries there.its 65litre.i have 5neons, 4guppies, 2gouramis and 2 corys.

I would return the male. And they and find a nicer one. I would only do a pair in a tank this size.

Every fish is different. So swap it out and see if ya get a nicer one.
