after six weeks doing a fishless cycle my tank is finally ready thanks for all your help. This is the best site for beginners!!!!!
i put up some pics of my pelco (mick jagger) and all the guppy babies.

Since the tank is already cycled (producing nitrates), the algae shouldn't be too far away. Pleco should be fine

i put my guppy fry in there first for about a week plus i give him algae tabs.

You should be feeding a pleco algae wafers and veggies anyway so it shouldnt be a problem.

what kind of veggies should i give him?

Blanched zuchinni, peas, or cucumber all work. Once a week should be good. You can also do seaweed.

Yea until they hit around 5". You really want to give them some variety.

Does this also apply with cichlids. They're omnivores.

Yes, I give my cichlids a sheet of seaweed for dinner about twice a week. Selecting a high quality food will also help.
