after six weeks doing a fishless cycle my tank is finally ready thanks for all your help. This is the best site for beginners!!!!!
i put up some pics of my pelco (mick jagger) and all the guppy babies.

Just wondering.. I thought it was already frown upon when the first fish to be introduced into a new tank was a pleco because of the lack of algea
 
Since the tank is already cycled (producing nitrates), the algae shouldn't be too far away. Pleco should be fine :)
