Aggressive bettas

I have 2 males and it was a stupid idea to house them together because they constantly pick on each other....are there ways to prevent this?

Separate them, they will kill each other. Male bettas housed together are about as aggressive as possible in aquaria.

I agree, that was not the best move by housing them together

Male bettas are fighting fish! Not meant to be kept together EVER without a divider! Please separate them! That’s super dangerous!
