Hi I've got a red male and female swordtail in my community tank. I've noticed the last couple days my male sword tail is following the female everywhere so It looks like they're going to breed. I'm not sure if this is the reason he's tured aggressive to the over fish in the tank. He's chasing all the over fish around the tank for no reason and causing havoc espeiclay with my generally peaceful albino red tailed shark. Wondered if anyone has experienced anything similar

Male swords can be very active.
I have seen males not tolerate other male swordtails at all.
I never had them cause serious trouble in community tanks.
How big is your tank?
Who else is in it besides the RTS.

I have 2 males no females for that reason. You could add another female but that might give you more baby's.or just re-home the female.

It's a 300 litre. It's got mostly full of different barbs. I have golden barbs, rosy barbs, filament barbs and Denison barbs. I have a bottlenose, 2 Pakistani loaches, the 2 swordtail and the rt shark. But yeah I'm planning on getting a couple more females
