Algae During Cycling

I'm currently doing a fishless cycle and recently have had an algae problem. I have a planted tank and recently had CO2 in the tank. I've recently turned on a airstone. I'm thinking of taking out all of the plants.

Were these plants used to C02 from another tank you are presently running? Moved from a C02 tank?

Is this your only tank?

It looks like the Sword could use some ferts.

What kind of light are you running on this tank, and what is the K rating /watts/ any info on the lighting? How long is the light on each day? On a timer? Has the light been left on 24 hours /over night at times?
