My tank is slowly developing an algae problem, so I'd like to get an algae eater in there before it gets out of hand.

What kinds of algae eaters are there out there besides the plecos? I'd like an algae eater that would be a decent match for the fish I have now... right now I have.

3 African Cichlids
1 Oscar
5 Columbian Catfish (aka) blackfin sharks.
1 Crayfish

The cichlids are about 2.5" and the oscar is about 3". They're in a 55g tank. What options do I have that may be more attractive than a pleco? Thanks!

You have an interesting assortment of fish that may soon outgrow your tank or start being very aggressive towards each other, just a heads up.

I do not think Otos would go too well in your tank due to their size, though they do look pretty cute. Maybe some True Siamese Algae Eaters would be good. Unfortunately most algae eating fish are pretty ugly :)
