Alge wafers

Hello all,
I have bought some alge wafers for my cories and ottos but wan wondering how long are you meant to leave them in the tank before removing them?
I have 8 cories and 3 ottos ad put 3 wafers in two days ago, one has gone but the majority of the other two are still in the tank my corys pick at them but don't seem fussed.
Should they be taken out?

No it shouldn't mess it up as long as you got the non-cloudy kind I would just leave em.

I usually remove uneaten food after a few hours to prevent any issues but then again I am overly cautious.

Yes I have a filter. They are the non cloudy kind, how many should I e giving them? The shop said only every 2-3 days, however I think my fish prefer pellets lol!!
