i got a 200 gallon tank with 4 florescent light fixtures with a total of 12 tubes. i have a 26" pleco 20 or so rainbow fish dozen neon tetras a dwarf flame gournami and about 15 other smaller fosh as well as some bamboo ship. I also have java fern anubias and java moss growing in the tank. this tank sees sunlight on top of the light fixtures for about 4 hours a day i left my lights on for a week straight how come i did not have an algae bloom?

I don't know but you should drop your tank around to my place 
I've run lights for 16hrs a day with only slightly more algae growing. But hardly anything was growing so it didn't matter.
