I realize every fish has their place and job, whether or not you see them they are going a job. Heck, I have 5 shrimp I havent seen in a few weeks.

Most plecos are nocturnal so they will only be really active at night. Some will still come out to eat during the day but that is usually the extent of seeing them.

glad I'm not the only one who has an MIA pleco - we're lucky to see ours once a month! It likes to hide inside this skull thing we bought - I've even picked the skull up to take it out to clean it and found the pleco hiding inside sucked on for dear life! we've had it for over a year now and i doubt it's grown at all in that time. I just heard about feeding them zucchini or lettuces so I'm going to try that next time I have some on hand. Bet my lady Bettas will like it too!
