Kribs i think the female is very cool looking cause the colors on her belly are vivid and thats the only way i know how to sex them well also the spot on her dorsal(tail?) fin

i read blood parrots get to 6" so you think i could get 4 of those in the 29g? because 6*4=24 and i have 5 gallons extra to add some peaceful fish

Cichlids and many other larger fish don't go by the 1" to 1 gallon formula. They have to have room to roam around and they produce alot of waste. I would go with a pair of Kribs and put alot of peaceful fish around them, I think that is by far your best bet.
