I got one the other day becasue I have a heavily stocked tank i'm gonna be fooling with alot in the next month. As of now, its reading correctly.

I dont have enough experience to know if it works or not. My tanks are cycled so right now it reads safe. I would only use it if you are worried about amonia spikes in your tank. Your tank socks look fine, so no you proably dont need it.
