So, my tank seems to be doing well, but my ammonia level is pretty much stuck at .25 ppm. been that way for more than a month, testing every other day with no change.
Now, That's the same as what comes from my tap, so water changes arn't going to bring it down, as far as i can tell. I do use a water conditioner before adding from tap, fyi.
Now, i keep reading that the only safe level is zero, but everyone in my tank seems do be doing well. Is this something i need to invest in fixing (and if so, what should i get?) Or should i leave well enough alone, provided it remains where it is?

I have the same problem with my tap it bounces from .25-1ppm ammonia. You could invest in RO water systems but I was told not to worry about it once your tank is established and cycled. 24 hrs after a water change my ammonia readings usually drop between 0 and .25.
