Angel fish police?

Hi everyone,

I have a pea puffer who gets a little nippy sometimes. I've noticed my angelfish herding him away from my loaches if he picks on one too much. Am I crazy or are they protecting the other fish? Has anyone seen that before?

That's pretty amazing. I don't think I have ever seen that with mine.

Puffers are incredibly smart, so it could definitely be possible.

Also, puffers are best in species setups as they like to nip and "taste" other fish.

I know. The other fish can usually avoid him. He just sneaks up when they let their guard down. I figure it keeps them on their toes.
