If I get 2 small angelfish and they turn out to be the same sex will they get along when they are mature? I really don't want to get several and wait to see who pairs up and have to get rid of the others. It doesn't matter if I end up with a mated pair because they will be in a community tank and babies will not likely survive....although that would be cool.

Thanks!

I've been keeping angels for over 30 years and I've never had issues when keeping two angels of the same sex together as long as they aren't in too small of a tank. The only problem that can happen everyone once it a while (but isn't very common) is if you get a male angel that as it grows and matures becomes very dominant aggressive. If this happens there is little that can be done except to rehome it. But this wouldn't stop me from getting two angels that I like the look of.
