Angelicus Botia (Kubatoi) with Botia Striata(Zebra Loach)..
Yah or nay?
Was told online that Kubatoi were peaceful.. after listing my tanks current stock list.. Pearl Gouramis/Cories/Ottos/Bristlenose Plecos/Clown Pleco/Glass Cats/Spotted Hillstream Loaches/and Hillstream Loaches.. Then I read about a Kubatoi killing a Zebra.. This is a 125 [acronym:02dd22ed8c="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:02dd22ed8c], have planted with Driftwood, half dark with holey rock.. So far the Zebras have some wood they stay under (there are 7 of them) and the Kubatoi (3 big ones)..well, one stays on TOP of that piece of driftwood in a crack..the other two hang on the other side of the tank IN the holey rock.. Then I really worry about my Hillstreams..but seems the main prob is IF And WHEN Kubatois fight for territory with someone..like Zebras..think the hillstreams would just not fight something that much bigger? Or should I take back my Kubatois?

I think because the hillstreams are small and quick as well as occupy different territory, so long as they are healthy and in there before the others in question, you should have little risk of problems. Order of introduction according to aggression can make a difference (lesser aggressives in first). It's your call. Anything can happen when you put animals in a see through box...lol.

OOPS
WhenI Put down Hillstream loaches.. I meant to put STRIATAS..or Zebra Loaches..
That changes everything..sorry. There are spotted Hillstreams..but yes, different territory..except at feeding time.. then everyone's together but the Glass Cats maybe.. But it's the Striatas..I was concerned about.

Not sure about striatas ... but I have yo-yos (large = 4"), botia rostratas, botia angelicus and botia historonica (all of which are smaller = 1.5-2") and my loaches don't really bother each other. The yo-yo's chase each other, but they've been doing that for years now and they don't ever seem stressed or bothered by it. My loaches also don't tend to bother my other fish either.
