Would it be possible to put a pair of angels in the same tank with a pair of kissing gouramis? Or firemouths?

Yeah, it should all be fine. There's not too many fish that angelfish will do well with, but gouramis are definitely on that list. Sharks, large tetras (not neon, those are natural prey), and rainbow fish do great with angels

Well I was planning on doing a pair of each with a small school of tetras and maybe a small pleco or small school of corys for the bottom in a 30 gallon tank! But I'm still in the planning stage and havnt even bought a tank yet so if I need bigger let me know I don't mind buying better!

i personally wouldn't put 2 kissing gourami in a 30 gallon tank (too small!)

I would go for the Dwarf gouramis - much smaller. Keep a male/female pair.

So for 2 kissing gouramis I would need a bigger tank?

most definitely!

kissing gourami grow to 8-10 inches.
compared to
Dwarf gourami 2-3 inches

you could also choose Pearl Gourami or Blue Gourami. They grow to 4-5 inches. HOWEVER, that's still on the larger side for a 30 gallon.

I agree. I also agree with bruinsbro - no firemouths with them.
