Hi All,

I have a pair of anglefish for about a year now. Lately the male is bullying the female. She stays in a corner of the tank at the water surface. They are in a 75gal tank. I bought them because they stayed together at the LFS I know they are aggressive. I was thinking they won't fight. I know they are a male and female because I've watch them in action twice. I can't separate them I only have one tank. They were getting along great until now any reasons why?

Bad luck really. They are cichlids and some are calm and some aren't. If you don't already, maybe try to plant the tank fairly heavily for hiding spots.....or add larger pieces of Manzanita or rock with some plants.....change up the placement of the decor if he starts in on her. Worse case, remove one of the fish and take it back to your LFS. Could also be a breeding thing but I don't breed fish and wouldn't know much about that.
