I have two female honey gouramis in my heavily planted 20 gallon (was hoping one was a male, but alas….) The other stock is
9 neon tetras
5 glowlight tetras
3 otos
3 amano shrimp
6 cherry shrimp

I know I'm Ok with the bioload if I add a male, but wondering about how well they will get along. The two girls chase each other once in awhile (they take turns) but also seem to cuddle up and act like they want to spawn with each other. Do you guys think putting a male in there will be OK? Or should I leave well enough alone?

Here is a photo of one of my pretty girls. I think they call this color gold, but maybe they are red? They both look the same.
