Any ideas what type of fish this is??? (pics inside)
I just picked these up and I'm not sure what they are. Any ideas? I have a breeding pair that is being kept at 80F. I suspect they are live bearers, however, at this point I'm not sure (they were breeding at the place where I bought them but they didn't have any info for me).

Possibly Butterfly Goodeid, Ameca splendens or a relative. Great algae eaters and one of the few to eat staghorn algae.

They definitely look like goodeids to me. These are live bearing fish and I believe quite endangered in their natural habitat. There's a live bearers club that specializes in captive breeding programs and preservation of these fish. Great find!!!
