Are there any kinds of snails that won't harm plants to the capacity of killing them?

(Nice tank by the way (y) )

The Pomacea bridgesii mystery/apple snail isn't as prone to eat aquatic plants as some of the other apple snail species. It prefers to eat the dead leaves as well as fish food or anything you feed your fish.

Nerite snails don't eat plants, nor will maylasian trumpet snails (MTS, however, multiply very quickly, and can be a little annoying).

Fluff may be right about that particular species, but the various apple's can be hard to tell apart, so I tend to recommend steering clear of anything 'apple' or 'mystery' label'd in the fish stores.
