Question Apple snails mates-for-life?

I have 4 adult apple snails: 2 male and 2 female.

They seem to only "reproduce" with their mates when they were seperated couples (1 male and 1 female per tank).

Do they only have one mate for life?

PS: I know the tank is overcrowded, I'm working on resealing another tank....
Just keep swimming...
