Aquarium Salt and Ammonia

Will adding aquarium salt to a freshwater tank to adjust the ammonia level affect the ammonia levels when testing?

My levels are now a deep blue color? How is this correctable?

no it shouldnt. what ammonia levels are you getting? have you tested your tap and what kind of conditioner are you using?

Adding aquarium salt will not affect ammonia levels. If you're tank is not cycled all that will is time or seeding the tank with established media. Aquarium salt has no benefit IME.
