Aquarium stand safety

So I posted this in the equipment section but I don't think it probably gets a lot of views, so I'm gonna repost here. My question is... Would it be safe/sturdy, to put a 6'x18" 150g on a 6'x2' stand? It would be a standard stand that has the outer lip/rim, but a hollow middle. The reason I ask is I need a stand and don't wanna pay hundreds to buy a new one or have the time to build one. I found this size on my local CL for $75. Anyone have any thoughts, experience or opinions with this?

if you build a support through the middle and along the back, it should work fine. just make sure everything is level
