Arapaima

Hi, just been watching a few videos of fish shops around Asia and I've seen multiple times fish shops selling arapaima. Obviously these fish can grow over 9ft long so I was just wondering if anyone actually ever heard of someone keeping them?

Might check the "MonsterFishKeeper" site. Many MFK members have swimming pool sized tanks capable of keeping such a huge fish. Never read anyone posting anything close on AA.

Saw a thread yesterday of a Florida man with a 4,500 gal. Tank. I don't think my wife would go for it. Lol.

lol remember, "silver sharks" are only like $3.... not a lot of cash for a really big fish

I was talking about the upkeep of the fish and all the equipment. It’s really funny because I realized I’ve spent over a hundred dollars on a five dollar fish.

No arapaima in my future although the arrowana is one of my all time fav's..
DREAM BIG !
I won't be able to ever fit an arrowana but the notion of a 'monster tank' lurks deep....
