Arawana

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!

There is an Australian version of the Arawana, and that is all I know about. BUT.... the Aussie ones (Saratoga) are freshwater and co-exist with archer fish (Toxotes jaculator). A big saratoga in a tank would probably eat a small archer fish. A large archer would probably be ok.

I do love how arawana look in a big tank. I took a couple photos of some in a small aquarium shop in Malaysia when we were wandering around China Town... I'll see if I can find them....... BRB .....
 
The most commonly available arowanas in the USA, silvers, blacks, and jardinis would not do well in brackish, and would kill and/or eat either of the two mentioned fish.
