Are Bag Buddies safe to use for any fish?

Are the Jungle laboratories bag buddies safe to use for any freshwater/saltwater fish? Can I use Bag buddies for Mormyrids such as elephant nose fish? A lot of scaleless fish are sensitive to meds or certain chemicals. Has anyone ever had any experience with using this product for scaleless fish?
