Mine was shy for a few days, but once he got used to it he started swimming around all the time! Sometimes you can put your finger tip to the glass and he'll high five you with his feeler things! They're so cool! I think he's king of my tank now... Haha congrats on the new fish! Keep us posted on how things go, I hope he perks up and runs around like mine!
