Are these eggs?

I ordered plants from aquabid and just found these round things inside a pot of Bolbitis. It was in the fibrous stuff the roots were planted in. Could they be eggs of some type or are they root tabs? I broke one open and it had a white, jelly like stuff in it. I pulled the fibrous stuff off the roots and closed the round things back inside of it. I have them in my plant QT bucket right now.

looks like diy root tabs. Osmocote in particular looks like that. I have never used them but being a gardener I have use Osmocote and that's what it looks like.
