Can Apistos get along with Convicts okay? I was actually thinking of these before I jumped on the convicts. The convicts are juvenile. Looks like conditions could be the same.

Nehh, wouldn't.. may be fine and dandy until one or the other goes spawn crazy and kills everyone.. ditch the convicts and get something different

In all honesty I would expect convicts to destroy the apistos. My adult CAC pair is large and healthy but I could not see them even lasting a week with convicts.

I have nothing in my tank that has a mate so I figure that will help keep my aggression levels way down

Convicts are still much more aggressive than apistogramma.

I was trying to be polite, convicts and apistos have no place in the same tank.. different preferences, diet... frankly apistos deserve their own tank imo..

Best way to keep aggression down in that tank is to remove a lot of the fish.

All I'm going to say is I hope you are keeping a close watch on trates because this is HITH just waiting to happen. At the most I would only keep the Oscar, saum and maybe a con.

So far so good on them. . I have a phyton that I use for water changes ... It makes it a breeze
