Bala Sharks

My three Bala sharks are constantly bumping/hitting into each other. they also while doing this kind of nip at each other, but they don't mind. No retaliation or running from it. It's very strange.

Not atypical behaviour for balas that are getting a bit crowded.

Yeah, how big is the tank and about how large are the Balas?

125 gallon with some cichlids, and they're about two inches or so

It's like they are shaking on each other, not just bumbing and going away, they do this for 10 mins at least.

Shaking? Could be territorial aggression, although they are a bit small....no signs of illness at all?

any chance of mating at this age? that would be cool, though i have serious doubt that's the reason behind the shaking.

No chance...I believe that they become sexually mature at around 6" and up.

No illness what so ever in the tank or on them, and can't be aggression. They're not hurt at all, nobody bites. They go up next to each other(all three sometimes two) and just smack and shake on each other.

dont worry about it..untill someone gets hurt anyway, all my fish do that to each other, they're probly just playing..
Fish have personalities to you know.
