Balloon Rams?????
At The LFS Here They Have Blue Rams That Are Called Balloon Rams and They Are Like Balloon Mollies

I think it will be a hit-or-miss type thing. I have recieved conflicting reports but believe it boils down to personal preference as to whether you should keep them or not.
One real concern is whether the fish have been dosed with antibiotics or other treatments. This seems to occur with imported fish and not locally bred (as far as I know). I did go back to where I bought mine and his wholesaler contacted me personally. He breeds them himself and doesn't medicate at all. He claims with proper care they are as long-lived as normal GBR's and in some cases longer-lived. He got his original breeding stock from overseas and did state they were not as hardy as locally bred stock. Just food for thought and whatever you decide, good luck. |
