Yea it is. You have to use it sparingly I believe. Chicken innards also work and are easier to come by I think.

I use beefheart for my black shark occationally as a treat, and I'll throw in a little extra for the balas, its good to vary your fishes diet as much as possible.

just freeze it, then you can cut it up into little cubes. Like the liver and the heart.
