So in resetting my 25 gallon I had some heavy algae build up. It was on rocks. I tried (at risk of destroying it) to use my magnafloat. Fail. I tried my fingers. Fail. I tried my towel. Fail. Then I tried a handful of wet black diamond blasting sand. IT WORKS GREAT! It took it all off very very effectively. So just a tip!
Thanks and God bless!

It's a soft bristled brush used for cleaning mushrooms before cooking.

+1 on the wet sand, though. Good idea :)

I use a vegetable brush! Very good!

Yeah, if I have some really hard to clean stuff, I pull it from the tank, drop it in a bathtub full of hot water and scrub with a veggie brush. (That's how I found a red wag that hitched a ride inside of the decor..scooped him out of the tub, dosed him with prime, and he's now named "Lucky").
