So I'm getting a 125 gal canister filter and wanted a superb filtration and my tank always looking clean. I have done some research of proper filtration set up, and got a good idea of how I want to set it up my filtration. But I'm debating on what media brand to use. I really would like to get the Biohome plus or Biohome ultra but the shipping from over seas is way to expensive and the vendor in the states is asking for a arm and a leg. So what kind of media can I use, I prefer one with a greater surface area, and affordable at the same time. Second, im planing to get rid of my plecos and replace them with maybe some algae eaters and maybe a few Cory catfishes, what so you guys recomend?

Fluval biomax is good

A group of otos are good algae eaters, depending on your stock

For a clean up crew I like to do Mts for under the substrate cleaning, cory cats for top of the substrate and SAE for complete algae control. With that clean up crew I've never had a problem with anything.
