Best method for attaching photo background to tank?

is it better to have just a plain black background than just having nothing? i have a university of washington huskies pennant hanging on the wall behind one of my tanks...i never really thought about a background...

On my 55 I have also rolled on black latex paint, non-toxic and can be touched-up, and removed easily... If you use a little roller on an extension you can do it on a big tank even after it is set up and close to the wall... I am a painter and I had all the tools and extra paint, so buying all this stuff might be overkill for most people.

I just used clear colour glue dots you can get at a craft store. Different sizes to choose from. I can’t see them from the front.
