It is a half-moon double-tail Beta that is peach, torcuise, and lavender with small black spots.

I read somewhere on here or online somewhere that if you take black paper and tape it to the top excluding the place where the open water is then the betta will be able to find it easier then once he's trained to go there you can try to remove the paper and watch to make sure he goes to the right spot for air. There's a bunch of info about the fluval out there. Hope everything is going good!
