Betta eating all of ghost shrimps wafers

I am sure like many betta owners theirs is also a PIG! I got some ghost shrimp to add a little life to the bottom of the tank. I fed them some hikari algae wafers and my Rama about ate himself to death. Any suggestion or products I can use to make supplementing the shrimp easier and safer for my betta? Thanks!

I always had to sit the wafers underneath or near a plant and turn the lights out on my tank since the shrimp will still search it out and eat it but bettas mostly feed/hunt by sight, so they can't track it down as well with the lights off. If that doesn't work you might have to start dividing off your betta while you feed the shrimp. Bettas are most DEF pigs lol.
