MR. Betta - just got him today, wife wanted to "rescue" him..

What I mean is a fish in a cup.. the kind of crap you see at petsmart to display their small space requirements.. I feel being trapped in a cup is the worse way to display these amazing fish.. My lfs also uses a small cup/bowl which when looked through magnifies the fish. It's still a shame that they are in that small of a container.

meet my betta dave he has a whole 5.5 gal tank to himself with a filter and heater (cycled ) and loves flaring at his reflection (no more than for 10 min a day usually)

This is Diesel my ct betta. He keeps the harmony in his tank. If any of the other fish are fighting, he flares at them until they stop lol.

Pic doesn't do him justice....when the light hits him he changes from black to blue/green hues....like oil on water & his tail changes to silver.
