Please don't buy bettas at wally-world though. They don't take care of their stock very well at all, and the best way to get them to stop carrying fish is to stop supporting them. For your own benefit, you can get much healthier fish for the same price at your local fish store.

Agreed. My LFS has BEAUTIFUL bettas. Makes me think "WTH was I doing when I bought mine?" Not that I don't love him, he's just a little... bland, that's all. My LFS has white ones, scarlet red ones, some pure turquoise ones and some beautiful pure blue ones. The one I have is like a mix of turquoise and blue and brown... lol He's fun though. He's named balboa, after rocky.

It is so hard to see those poor things in Walmart too, I hate it when I go by there. I just want to take them ALL lol. I hope they stop selling fish sooooon
