Is this the same thing as the blasting sand or did Tractor Supply discontinue the sand? It says it is made of coal slag, so I am leaning towards not the same thing, but just wanted to double check.

As far as I know it is the same thing. I have some and have had it in a tank and haven't had any issues. There are only Danio's in the tank so there are no bottom dwellers.

same thing i got some for a niece and her fish love it pleco sifts threw it no problems yet they love digging in it wish i would have known before i went and paid $15 bucks a bag of black moon sand
