I recently bought 8 of these gorgeous fish and have found them to be totally shy for my 70 gallon community tank. i m stocking:

6 male guppies
8 blue emperor tetras
6 panda corys
and the 8 black phantom tetras

All they do is hide, they are rarely seen. After a week and a half, no change.
I put them all by themselves in my 30g long and no changes.

Any suggestions/ advice would be greatly appreciated :fish2:

They might still be shy due to a small group. If you have those fish in a 70 gal you can put a lot more in there. Also sometimes fish can just be shy in their group and take quite awhile to start showing. They may also be showing at night, try turning the lights off and see if their behavior changes.

How planted are the tanks? Enough stuff to keep their interest and happiness?

You are understocked. Add more fish of the same species. Also it may take some time for them to get use to the environment. Give it a week or two but add more to their school. In a 70 gallon you can add like 20 or 25 fish of a particular species. Once they have a good school they will be more confident.
