Blood Parrot Color?

Yep. I don't think stress or bad diet are the case with either one of our parrots. Mine has an adult auratus male in with him and is still the dominant fish. The only one in the tank he lets near his flowerpot is a male convict. They're pretty tight buddies. Every single fish in that aquarium are rescues given to me for one reason or another.
 
your fish looks fine, he will turn orange as he matures. They also color up faster if theres a 2nd BP in the tank.

He has pretty much lost all his black and I got her a buddy today! I think I now have a male and female.
 
told ya lol...congrats BP's like to have a friend or two in the tank My little guy is starting to change colors now too
 
Now the newer one is getting some black. I guess the new tank stresses them out for a while.
