I looove Blushing White Skirt Tetras. I haven't seen them in stores for a few years, but have been wanting them for some time now.

Before I ask my local store to try and order some, I want to make sure they're not dyed. They're not, are they? The pink in their cheeks and black eyes is natural, right?

Thanks!!

From what I read it is a hybrid of the black skirt. A hybrid may possibly not live as long.
They do look cool.

As far as I know, the blushing variety is not dyed, and it is alleged that the "painted" skirt tetras are not dyed but fed a colored diet. I do not know if this is true or if it is a fabrication to ease our minds about buying a "blueberry" tetra. I personally avoid any fish that has a fruit in the name, LOL!
