I'm going to rehome my common pleco and get BN. I've read that they need driftwood and I would like to know what I need to get. I've also read that you need to boil the driftwood. Advice please.:thanks:

I have two types of driftwood in my tank. One piece is malaysian, and one piece is from the local fish store. My bristlenose seems to like both.

I have one Malaysian and one Mopani. My BN gravitates to the Mopani. I asked a local Pleco expert and she said that the specific BN variety does not "need" wood like other varieties, but they do enjoy it. She told me mine probably likes the Mopani better because the wood is not as dense as the Malaysian, which makes it easier for him to scrape and chew.
