Bolivian Ram...maybe ?
I wonder if anyone could help me out. I was at my LFS yesterday, and I asked the owner if he had any ram cichlids. He said he usually doesn't stock them because they're so delicate, but he carried a cousin of them. He showed me the fish and it's label on the tank was 'altispinosa' and they were $8. It looked very much like a Bolivian Ram, but I wasn't sure. Has anyone else seen them labeled in this manner ?

$8 is the normal going price for these fish in stores. You can get them from breeders cheaper but run the risk of death during shipping.
