Hello. I've a 55 (UK) Gal tank with various fish in it, silver dollars, neons, guppies, kribs and a pair of Bolivian Red Rams.

For a while, I only had the male... My old primary school had a tank I chased them up about and they sold me it, the Ram was part of that tank. Anyway, the LFS finally got in a female so I dropped her in the tank about 2 weeks ago. I realise that these guys are both territorial and also can mate for life, so that might play into this, but I just thought I'd ask about their behaviour.

They seem to swim apart quite a bit, just doing their own things, but occasionally they will come together and look to 'kiss' each other on their heads or on the sides of their body.. there's some chasing going on too.

Is this fightin' talk or should I put on a little Marvin Gaye?

PS: There's plenty of caves and slates in for them to either hide in on lay eggs on. Tank conditions are fine, all my fish are healthy (I've never seen water so clear, either!)
