i was thinking i'll have an open 10 gallon tank and id like to do brackish with a dwarf puffer and some fiddlers? could i stack rocks to the surface so the fidlers could get to the top? would they be able to climb well enough? would there be aggression issues? how do you do brackish? anything else i need to do?

Brackish is very easy. Get reef salt, not aquarium salt, a hydrometer, and fins what specific gravity (SG) you need to keep the dwarf puffer at. SG is basically how you measure salinity. I keep my BW tank at 1.015. However, a tank that small might be hard to keep just right, larger tanks are more forgiving. You'll need to monitor your SG after every water change and mix just the right amount of salt to get your SG after the change.

Starting a Brackish Aquarium, what you need and what you can keep.

yea i decided against it bc the puffers need bigger tanks so im gonna do a betta and some african dwarf frogs
