Brine Shrimp: hatch or decapsulated eggs? Earthworm flakes?
I was wondering if there is any benefits to feeding decapsulted eggs or drawbacks? I have found them and the price is equivelant to eggs you hatch so I wonder what is the reason you would hatch them if the eggs are so much more nutritious?
I do plan to feed my adults as well as fry when my corydoras finally decide to breed or come of age. Is there one that should be used for adults and one for fry? Also, has anyone tried the earthworm flakes from brine shrimnp direct? They are supposed to great for growth and maturation but will they work for fry and adults alike? One more thing, does anyone have a good idea for a seperator that allows the fish to eat the live foods before they get sucked up in the [acronym:5a12014684="Hang On Back"]HOB[/acronym:5a12014684]? |

I have not researched comparisons between the decapsulated eggs and the nauplii, so I cannot offer any good reasons except that live nauplii will be preferred by many fish that want live.
Earthworm flakes are great, especially for various cats and livebearers, but with livebearers, make sure that they get plenty of spirulina or other veggie flakes, too.

* Brine Shrimp Flake * Spirulina & Kelp Flake * Tropical Flake * Plankton Gold
This is the deli flake for brine shrimp direct Would that work for a well balanced diet mixed with the earthworm flakes and supplimented with brine shrimp, either hatched or decapsulated? |
