Bristle Nose
My 5 inch bristle nose cat is looking very sickly
How long do they live for? Mine is about 5 years old and is the biggest one ive seen. Hes at the front of my 179 [acronym:e0f3e48111="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:e0f3e48111] planted and breathing very slowly. |

Yes, do post your parameters and tankmates....bristlenose can live well over a decade, so yours is not even middle-aged.

He died yesterday..
But im still very interested because I have another 2. Tankmates are 1 pleco, 2 bristlenose, 4 clown loaches, 2 kuli loaches, 4 yo yo loaches, 4 tiger barbs, 4 golden barbs, 10 cardinals, 12 tetra neons, 2 dwarf gourami, 2 angels and 1 peppermint cat. Ph is 6.8, [acronym:c84f4b6ad4="General Hardness"]gh[/acronym:c84f4b6ad4] is 8, [acronym:c84f4b6ad4="Carbonate Hardness"]kh[/acronym:c84f4b6ad4] is 4, nitrate is 10ppm, ammonia is 0ppm. My other cats seem very happy! |

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did you test for nitrite? Did he have any other external symptoms? Bloating, swelling, scales sticking out, white patches?
