wobbles has fishy dreams
Bristle Nose

My 5 inch bristle nose cat is looking very sickly

How long do they live for? Mine is about 5 years old and is the biggest one ive seen. Hes at the front of my 179 [acronym:e0f3e48111="Gallon"]gal[/acronym:e0f3e48111] planted and breathing very slowly.

Yes, do post your parameters and tankmates....bristlenose can live well over a decade, so yours is not even middle-aged.

He died yesterday..

But im still very interested because I have another 2.

Tankmates are 1 pleco, 2 bristlenose, 4 clown loaches, 2 kuli loaches, 4 yo yo loaches, 4 tiger barbs, 4 golden barbs, 10 cardinals, 12 tetra neons, 2 dwarf gourami, 2 angels and 1 peppermint cat.

Ph is 6.8, [acronym:c84f4b6ad4="General Hardness"]gh[/acronym:c84f4b6ad4] is 8, [acronym:c84f4b6ad4="Carbonate Hardness"]kh[/acronym:c84f4b6ad4] is 4, nitrate is 10ppm, ammonia is 0ppm.

My other cats seem very happy!

Sorry to hear about your loss. Did you test for nitrite? Did he have any other external symptoms? Bloating, swelling, scales sticking out, white patches?

A few white patches. Thats about it. Nitrite was fine.
